Our Mission
The Tidemark Gallery seeks to showcase the work of the many fine professional artists and artisans in the Waldoboro, Maine region.
The Tidemark Gallery represents the broad spectrum of artistic talent flourishing in the Midcoast region of Maine. Our philosophy is to foster and promote our artists. We strive to support the artist community in the region by encouraging individual artists to experiment, innovate, and push their creativity to grow as artists, thus benefiting all of us as lovers of art.
The Tidemark also joins with its Waldoboro, Maine neighbors, The Waldo Theatre, the Waldoboro Public Library, our schools and other nonprofit groups, by promoting and participating in activities that reflect Waldoboro and Maine's natural and architectural beauty, its history, authenticity and diversity.
The Gallery is located in the historic village district of Waldoboro, in a building that dates back to before 1871. We have preserved the original tin ceiling, floor and other interior details, maintain our link to this special place in Maine.
